On Sunday night, May 15, the 2022 Billboard Music Awards kicked off live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with Sean “DD” Combs hosting the 29th edition of the show.
A few days after announcing a new album with his new R&B label Love Records and Motown Records, the 52-year-old executive began the show with his brand new single “Kota Move On” featuring Bryson Tiller and “First”. Justin Bieber, Kanye West and Olivia Rodrigo each received 13 nominations.
Drake had 11 chances for the trophy in some of the biggest categories of the night, including Best Artist, Best Male Artist, Best Billboard 200 Artist and Top 100 Artist, and he was “Drake in the Billboard 200 Album category for Certified Lover Boy.” Followed.
