Monday Night Football Live Highlights: Bills host Jaguars, Bengals take on Commanders in Week 3 double dip

For the first of four times this season, there will be two Monday Night Football games. In the first kickoff, the 2-0 Buffalo Bills take on the 0-2 Jacksonville Jaguars at 7:30 PM ET on ESPN, and in the second game, the 1-1 Washington Commanders travel to 0-2 Cincinnati. Bengals at 8:15 pm ET on ABC.

The Bills have been one of the league’s highest-scoring teams through two weeks, hanging 34 points on the scoreboard in Weeks 1 and 31, and Josh Allen has been the maestro of Buffalo’s offense, completing nearly 74% of his passes. without interrupting. Trevor Lawrence hasn’t been sharp enough to start Jacksonville’s season, completing just 51% of his throws through two weeks.

In Cincinnati, the Bengals are no strangers to slow starts — they’re off to an 0-2 start for the fifth time in the past six seasons — and Joe Burrow will look to make another turnaround after losing a nail-biter last week in Kansas City.     With a 30-point lead, the Bills took Josh Allen out of the game and hit Mitchell Trubisky at quarterback.

    Mack Jones took over at QB for the Jaguars and fumbled on Javon Solomon’s sack. Casey Toohill recovered at the Jacksonville 21-yard line.

    Buffalo then drove four plays for 21 yards, capped by a three-yard TD run by Ray Davis.

  • 3 Result: Commanders 28, Bengals 20

    The Commanders now came back across midfield and threatened to score again with 15 minutes to go in Cincinnati.

    Tyler Bass added his second field goal to rebuild the Bills’ lead to 30-points, 40-10. After missing the extra point in the game, that might make Bills fans feel a little better.

  • Bengals TD

    They had to go for 4th down, but the Bengals finally got their touchdown. Joe Burrow hits Andre Iosivas for a 2-yard touchdown and we’ve got a one-score game back in Cincinnati.

    At 11:55 of the fourth quarter, the Bills finally went three-and-out. Sam Martin ran it 49 yards to the Jacksonville 17-yard line.

  • Von Miller sacked Trevor Lawrence on 4th and goal

    The Jaguars drove 53 yards in 12 plays and appeared en route to another touchdown. But the offense hit a wall inside the 10-yard line. Jacksonville was called for two false start penalties.

    On fourth down, Lawrence was sacked by Von Miller for a 10-yard loss.

    Jacksonville still couldn’t do much to stop the Bills. But an 11-play, 61-yard drive ended with Buffalo unable to convert a 3rd-and-7 at the Jacksonville 9-yard line and having to settle for a field goal.

    The Bengals are leaving some serious points on the board in the first half tonight. After a quick drive down to the Washington 13 they had to settle for another field goal by Evan McPherson.

    The Commanders lead 21-13 with 42 seconds left in the half.

    The Jaguars needed to score on the opening drive of the second half, capping an eight-play, 70-yard drive with a six-yard TD pass from Trevor Lawrence to Brendan Strange.
