Billie Eilish has recently confirmed her exit Variety Power of Women cover story, in which he first revealed his attraction to women.
On the red carpet VarietyAt the Hitmakers event, Eilish shared that she didn’t want to make a big “coming out” gesture and was actually surprised by the public’s reaction to her comments. “I thought, isn’t that obvious? I didn’t realize that people didn’t know. I didn’t really believe in it. I was like, why can’t we? I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I don’t talk about it.
In a November profile, Eilish opened up for the first time about his feelings for women VarietyCathy Stephen said, “I never felt that I could get along well with women. I love them so much. I love them as people. I was fascinated by them as people. I was really drawn to them.
“I have a deep connection with the women in my life, the friends in my life, the family in my life,” he continued. “I’m physically attracted to them. But I’m so in awe of them and their beauty and their presence.
At the Hitmakers event, the singer shared the award for Film Song of the Year with her brother Phineas. Variety is Diana Denicola also asked if her perspective on how other women feel about her has changed since the story came out. Elish replied, “I’m still scared of them, but I think they’re cute!”
Featured prominently in Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster “Barbie,” “Was I Made For?” Eilish will receive an award at Hitmakers today for the song.
