Noah is also the host of next month’s Grammy Awards.
“You may not regret Kim because she’s rich and famous,” Noah said of the division. “But seeing what she’s doing is terrifying and draws attention to what happens when many women choose to leave.”
A source close to Noah told CNN that he had nothing to do with Westin’s cancellation and that he had no conversation with the producers or the recording academy that produced the show about West.
“Trevor never asked the villagers to ban Kanye from acting. He was not offended by Kanye’s Instagram post and Trevor responded on Instagram. It is ridiculous that Trevor or his group asked the villagers to ban Kanye,” the source said.
CNN has not yet received feedback from the recording academy and West has not commented publicly.
Westin commented on Nova’s Instagram post, which was later deleted, writing in support of the musician, “It breaks my heart to see you like this,” and his music was an “indelible” part of his life.
Upcoming artists include Billy Elish, Lil Nass X, PDS and Olivia Rodrigo.
Grammys is scheduled to air on CBS on April 3rd.
