Bruce Springsteen in Jeremy Allen White biopic first look

The first look at “The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White, who plays Bruce Springsteen in the biopic “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” has been released while production is underway.

Directed and written by Scott Cooper (“Crazy Heart,” “Hostiles”), “Deliver Me From Nowhere” adapts Warren Janes’ book of the same name about the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album “Nebraska.” Filming is taking place primarily in Springsteen’s native New Jersey and New York, with additional production in Los Angeles, and the film is set to hit theaters next year.

According to a press release, Springsteen’s recording of “Nebraska” “marked a pivotal time in his career that he would not talk about openly until a decade after its release. It is considered a landmark in his musical odyssey and inspired a generation of artists and musicians. It was recorded on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom and Without The E Street Band, ‘Nebraska’ is considered one of Springsteen’s most enduring works – a raw, haunting soundtrack full of lost souls looking for a reason to believe.

Beyond Alan White, the cast also includes Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s dad, Paul Walter Hauser as a guitar technician, and Odessa Young, who is rumored to play a love interest. in May, Variety Jeremy Strong is also reported to be in talks to play Springsteen’s longtime manager John Landau.

From Disney’s 20th Century Studios, “Deliver Me From Nowhere” was produced by Cooper alongside Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Wain (“The Maze Runner” trilogy, “Juror No. 2”) and Eric Robinson (“Kodachrome,” “Last Days”). .”), who co-created the project with Cooper.
