The next iPhone is a few weeks away.
Apple announced its fall special event on Tuesday, sending out press calls on the morning of September 12. Invitees can attend in person at the Steve Jobs Theater inside Apple Park, the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, while the public can watch online at 10 a.m. PST.
Apple’s event invitations are always closely scrutinized for hidden meanings, this year featuring a distorted, multicolored Apple logo and the tag line: “Wonderlust.”
The company is expected to unveil the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, with the next generation of iPhones rumored to bring significant upgrades including new colors, better battery performance, and a switch from Apple’s proprietary Lightning connector to USB-C. Charging and much improved camera capabilities, according to 9to5MacA tech blog that follows Apple rumors closely.
New iterations of the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Ultra are also expected.
The “Wonderlust” event comes three months after Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference unveiled updates to several hardware and software products, as well as its most ambitious mixed reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro.
