“Love Island USA” star Nic Vansteenberghe is keeping the status of his relationship with Olandria Carthen private after the former couple reunited at Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns’ wedding.
Vansteenberghe Keeps Reunion Details Private
Vansteenberghe addressed the reunion during an Aug. 16 appearance at LIV Beach at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, one day after attending the wedding with Carthen.
“I would love to tell you guys, but I’m going to keep that private for now,” Vansteenberghe said, according to footage recorded by @jpasc24. “We did enjoy ourselves tremendously at Karl and Jordyn’s wedding last night. It was amazing.”
His comments did not confirm whether the pair had resumed their romantic relationship. However, Vansteenberghe said former partners can remain friends when a breakup ends on healthy terms.
“If you end healthily, it’s cool,” he explained. “Sometimes it’s better to maybe not be friends, but in my case, yes. We ended on a good note.”

Vansteenberghe also acknowledged that adjusting to life after a breakup can be difficult. When asked what advice he would offer others going through a separation, the 25-year-old struck an optimistic tone.
“Things will always get better. It’s rock bottom, but it’s about the climb,” he said.
Still, Vansteenberghe stopped short of saying he was enjoying being single.
“It’s a bit soon,” he emphasized.
His latest remarks came about three weeks after he publicly confirmed that he and Carthen had ended their relationship.
“The rumors are true,” Vansteenberghe wrote in a subscribers-only TikTok post on July 26. “I didn’t want to give people false hope, so I want to clear the air. We will continue to love each other ALWAYS. It’s a sensitive, as well as a private subject, thank you for respecting our privacy.”

Vansteenberghe and Carthen became fan favorites during the seventh season of “Love Island USA.” Their connection developed after both contestants faced elimination during the show’s Casa Amor segment, eventually taking their relationship from friendship to romance.
The couple finished the season as runners-up and continued dating outside the villa for more than a year before announcing their breakup.
Carthen, 27, previously said the attraction between them had existed since the beginning of the competition.
“Nic and I have always had a thing for each other since day one,” she told Variety in July 2025. “I kissed him on day one. Just because I didn’t choose to go with him does not mean that spark wasn’t there. It took us some time to get to this point.”
Although their appearance at the high-profile wedding prompted speculation among fans, Vansteenberghe has not confirmed a reconciliation. For now, he maintains that he and Carthen remain on good terms while keeping the details of their relationship private.
