MIAMI (AP) — Immigration groups are gathering in Miami to have their portrait taken for a public art project.
The groups are expected to gather Saturday morning at the Freedom Tower for the "Inside Out 11M" photo. A truck has been at the location since Thursday. The portraits are on display at the Freedom Tower.
It's part of a public art project that puts a face on immigration reform. Organizers say the project consists of a massive mosaic of portraits taken on site, printed immediately and pasted on the tower. The project comes to Miami after visiting other cities, including Los Angeles and Chicago.
Organizers say the project's title refers to the number of undocumented immigrants in the U.S.
