The Gulf Citrus Growers Association luncheon will be held at 11:45 a.m. at the Dallas Townsend Ag Center in LaBelle.

The topic will be "Citrus Dollars and Sense: Economic Issues," presented by Dr. Matthew Salois, FDOC's Director of Economic Research, and Dr. Lisa House, UF/IFAS Director of the Florida Agricultural Market Research Center.

Florida FFA's Firetower Run-A-Muck will begin at 9 a.m. at the Florida FFA Leadership Training Center, 5000 Firetower Road, Haines City.

A timed 5K walk/run will encompass portions of Firetower Road through the training center property along Lake Pierce. Obstacles will include mud, hay bales and water.

The race will be followed by a spaghetti luncheon at 11 a.m.

The public is invited. All proceeds will benefit the Florida FFA Foundation.

Juice HACCP Workshop will be held at the University of Florida's Citrus Research and Education Center in Lake Alfred.

This course, based on the standardized Juice HACCP Alliance curriculum and taught by Alliance team members, will target technical and managerial personnel from juice processing, packing or transportation companies.
