The Florida Agriculture Financial Management Conference will be held at Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate.

Some of the nation's leading agricultural and economic experts will address financial strategies impacting Florida's agriculture industry.

Attendees will learn best practices to help their businesses move to the next level. Educational sessions will cover topics such as economic forecasting, risk management, banking and lending trends, business succession planning, regulatory issues, compliance measures surrounding the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act and external factors influencing cash flow.

Those who should attend the conference include agribusiness owners and operators, accounting managers, chief financial officers, controllers, attorneys and certified public accountants.

Grazing Management School, presented by the University of Florida IFAS Extension, will be held at the Polk County Extension Service John Brenneman Auditorium, 1702 U.S. 17 S., Bartow.

The program is part of a continuing multi-county education effort to help south-central Florida producers raise and market high quality beef cattle per cow and acre, profitably.

The Certified Crop Advisor's Continuing Education Seminar will be held 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Building T, Room 20 at South Florida State College, Avon Park.

A total of 10 contact hours will be awarded for attending the full day - five hours in each of the two educational areas which includes nutrient management 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and integrated pest management 1-6 p.m.

Lunch and snacks will be provided. Deadline to register is by 5 p.m. Oct. 28.
