The Sebring Blue Streaks softball team saw its season come to an end in New Port Richey on Thursday, as the River Ridge Knights rolled to a 16-3 victory in the Class 6A regional quarterfinals in a game that went just five innings.

After the Blue Streaks scored in the top of the first, the Knights took the lead for good in the bottom of the first with three runs—two of them coming on a home run by Morgan Tolle. River Ridge put the game away with an eight-run outburst in the bottom of the third inning that was highlighted by Jada Power’s grand slam.

The Blue Streaks finished the season with a 13-11 record.

River Ridge will advance to play Mitchell—which knocked off Class 6A-District 9 champion Winter Haven 2-0 on Thursday—in Tuesday’s regional semifinal game.
