River Green Golf Club's Jason Beatty tied with Pete DuPriest of Golf Hammock Golf Club for the low pro score at 69, while DuPriest teamed up with Lamere to tie for first place in the two-man pro event at 64 with the talented duo of Cody Brownell and Jason Laman. Each team won +56.

The next Men's Heartland Interclub tournament is set for Aug. 12 at Golf Hammock Golf club.

The Highlands Ridge squad had a strong first half and hope to make a move up the ladder in the second half.

"We have a solid group of players and we sure would like to make a run in the second half," Lamere said. "The better you play the tougher it gets with the points quota system we use, and we're going to have to make a lot of points at Golf Hammock next month.

"Our guys look forward to playing in these monthly events," Lamere said. "They're a lot of fun and we're going to do our best the rest of the year."
