SFSC/SHS summer baseball camp

— South Florida State College and Sebring High School will hold a summer baseball camp from June 23 to July 26 at Firemen’s Field. Camp is open to youngsters ages 5-13 and costs $80 for the week. Firecracker 5K Run/Walk

— The 20th annual Firecracker 5K Run/Walk will be July 4 at Highlands Hammock State Park at 7:30 a.m. Cost is $20 through June 27 and $30 through July 3. The event will benefit the cross-country program at Avon Park High School. There will be no race day registration. For information, contact Chet Brojek at 385-4736 or cbrojek@comcast.net.

APHS football camp

— Avon Park High School will hold a football camp Monday through June 20. Cost is $30 per camper and fee includes snack, lunch and Red Devils football T-shirt. On the final day of camp, there will be a Punt, Pass and Kick competition, followed by a pool party and awards ceremony. All campers will be registered in a contest to win Tampa Bay Rays tickets. Summer golf clinics

Debby McNall will be giving golf lessons this summer. Junior Clinics cost $10 and will held at 9 a.m. Fridays. The Ladies “hit and giggle” will be Wednesday evenings and costs $20. Private and group lessons are available as well. For more information, contact McNall at 257-1108.

Heartland Football Camp

— The Mary Toney Sports Foundation will hold its 2014 Heartland Football Camp at the Highlands County Sports Complex on June 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $20 per camper and includes instruction, insurance, lunch, T-shirt, awards and gifts. Sun ’n Lake golf camp

— The Sun ’n Lake Golf Club will hold weekly junior golf camps throughout the summer for kids ages 5-12. Cost per camper is $125 and fee includes breakfast and lunch. Camps are held Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Remaining camp dates are June 16-20, 23-27 and July 7-11, 14-18, 21-25. Call the golf shop at 385-4830, ext. 1, to register.

LPAA sports camp

— The Lake Placid Athletic Association will be holding an athletic day camp that runs from Monday through Aug. 2. Cost is $10 per day for each camper, but discounts are available.
