HYFC holding car wash Saturday

The Highlands Youth Football & Cheer Organization will be having a car wash fundraiser at Advanced Auto Parts at the corner of U.S. 27 and the Sebring Parkway from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

All monies earned or donated will be used to purchase equipment and uniforms for the boys and girls.

Come on down and get registered while your car is being washed. HYF will be registering players and cheerleaders on Saturday.

If you are interested in joining the Highlands Eagles team to play football or cheer or if you have already registered online and just need to pay your registration fee, please come to the Advanced Auto Parts store on Saturday to secure your spot for the upcoming fall football and cheerleading season that begins in early July.

Several of our coaches and board members will be there to meet or answer any questions you may have.

Available for children ages 5 to 15 years old. Registration fees are $80 each for football and cheer with discounts available if you are signing up multiple children. Ages for the divisions are as follows.

There are limited spots available for football and cheerleading divisions.

All divisions of football are open except the Junior Varsity football division; this team is full and closed for registration.

Varsity football players are needed and ninth-graders are eligible to play (ninth-graders cannot turn 16 during this calendar year). All divisions are open for cheerleading.

Payment of the registration fee is the only method of securing a spot on the team. If you registered your child online, you must follow up at the next scheduled registration date to pay the registration fee. Teams and squads will be filled on a first come basis.

For all football players who have already registered with HYF but still need to pay toward your registration, please come to the Advanced Auto Parts store on Saturday.

As the season is quickly approaching, HYF is always looking for volunteers to assist our organization.

Anyone interested in becoming a football or cheerleading coach or would like to volunteer for the Highlands Eagles, please visit our website at, click on the registration tab and submit your volunteer application.

Please come on down to support your local youth football and cheer organization.
