SEBRING - An 81-year-old woman arrested after being accused of illegally feeding bears has been granted bond by County Judge Anthony Ritenour.

Details of the order , which was finalized late Friday evening, were unavailable and when or if she would be released Friday evening remained uncertain.

Mary H. Musselman was arrested earlier in the month by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission after failure to comply with repeated attempts to get her to stop feeding bears, authorities said.

Musselman had been originally charged with illegally feeding a bear, resisting an officer and battery on a law enforcement officer. Authorities said she kicked officers and threatened to shoot them if they came back on her property after she got out of jail.

She was later charged with violation of probation after being ordered not to put out any food for animals for a year. An arrest affidavit said officers saw that she had put out food.
