Two AP schools hosting Harvest Festival on Main

Published:

AVON PARK - Park and Avon Elementary Schools will once again host the Harvest Festival On Main Street 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Activities will be nostalgic, as the schools will resurrect the costume parade down Main Street similar to one held years ago.

Students interested in participating in the parade should line up for judging at 9 a.m. behind Jacaranda Hotel. The parade will then proceed down Lake Avenue and turn onto Main Street, ending at Donaldson Park for more festival fun.

The Harvest Festival will include bounce houses, pony rides, lots of games and vendors. Most activities will be included in an $8 arm band. Food will also be available for purchase.

Proceeds will go toward purchasing books and supplies for the two schools. For more information, call Park Elementary at 452-4373.
