Tips sought on Avon Park gas station robbery

AVON PARK-Authorities are seeking information on two suspects who reportedly robbed the Raceway Convenience Store in Avon Park a little after midnight Thursday.

Two black males with handguns entered the gas station, 1625 U.S. 27, Avon Park, and demanded money, a news release from the Highlands County Sheriff's Office states.

The clerks complied and the suspects left without harming them, taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the news release added.

This investigation is in its early stages.

Detectives are seeking information about anyone or any vehicles that may have been seen in the area of the convenience store last night or early this morning, the news release adds.
