Tampa Bay killer may be in Avon Park

— Police think a Tampa murderer may be here.

At 11:27 a.m. May 23, Marcus L. Williams, 32, was killed at a Claymore Crossings apartment parking lot, 5005 Claymore Drive.

“Detectives have gathered information during the investigation that indicates a suspect went to the Avon Park area after the murder in an attempt to distribute marijuana taken during the carjacking,” a Crimestoppers report said.

The suspect is a black male, 20 to 30 years old, with a thin build and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a green jacket.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
