SEBRING - Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with the burglary of a Sebring city councilman's house.

Latrevieus Dionne Wiley, 16, 764 Hickory St., Sebring and Tevon Demetri Hylton, 17, 1127 Weigle Ave., Sebring, have been arrested and charge with criminal mischief, burglary while armed, third-degree grand theft and six counts of grand theft of a firearm.

The arrests came after Sebring City Councilman Lenard Carlisle Jr., reported that he had left his house for less than two hours. When he returned, he discovered that someone broke a window, entered the house and stole $300 in cash and six firearms, including a semiautomatic pistol, three shotguns and two riles.

Carlisle said police have recovered many of the items.

Police learned the identity of the suspects by following footprints and talking to potential witnesses, the report said.

Wylie's boot impressions matched those found at the scene, the report said.
