'Soup Up the Arts' to benefit two families in need

Published:

SEBRING - The 12th Annual Soup Up the Arts will be held 4-7 p.m. Feb. 13 in the Sebring High School cafeteria, hosted by the Sebring High Art Club and National Art Honor Society.

Funds raised will go toward art scholarships and to help local families with medical financial needs. They are the families of Zak Taylor, a sixth-grader at Hill-Gustat Middle School with neurofibromatosis type 1, and Mary Goldburne, who is going through chemotherapy and taking care of six grandchildren - one of who has autism.

The Pop Art theme will include a student art show and student musical entertainment, along with a silent auction.

Cost is $10 and you will receive a homemade bowl made by art club members with soup, bread, dessert and drink.

Tickets are on sale at Sebring High School.
