Silver Alert issued for Lake Placid man reported missing since Saturday

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 76-year-old man who has been reported missing since Saturday and is considered endangered due to medical conditions, according to the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office.

Eliseo Rivera left his home on Buck Street in Lake Placid at approximately 8 a.m. to go to the post office. He has not been heard from since.

Authorities describe him as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with gray-brown hair, brown eyes and gold framed glasses.

He was last seen wearing a blue and white striped polo shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a black baseball style cap. The cap has red lettering saying 101st Airborne and there is an eagle on the cap, as well. He left the house driving a cream colored 2003 Lincoln bearing Florida tag WC8 396 and may be headed to the Tampa, MacDill Air Force Base area, the news release added.
