Blood drive at dealership

— Bill Jarrett Ford in Avon Park will host OneBlood’s Summertime Blood Drive 1-5 p.m. today.

All donors will receive a voucher for a free movie ticket and a wellness checkup, including blood pressure, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening.

SATURDAY

County hurricane seminar set

— The Highlands County Emergency Operations Center will hold a 2014 Hurricane Seminar at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Bert J. Harris Agri-Civic Center, 4509 George Blvd.

All-stars plan barbecue fundraiser

— The 2014 Sebring Pitching Machine All Stars will hold a barbecue fundraiser with pick up 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Max Long Field.

Dinners are $7.

Elks hosting public breakfast buffet

— Sebring Elks 1529 will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet open to the public 8:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Cost is $7.50 which includes eggs the way you like them from the omelet station, potatoes, sausage and biscuits, ham, bacon, French toast, chipped dried beef on toast, juice, fruit salad, coffee, assorted toast and muffins.
