LAKE PLACID - Commotion band will perform 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday at Coz's Bowling, 800 U.S. 27 S.

The band plays a variety of classic rock and dance music.

Tanglewood slates benefit line dance

SEBRING - The Tanglewood Line Dancers will host a line dance 6-9 p.m. Friday in the clubhouse. Admission is $2 and all proceeds will benefit Kids Pack.

Bridal expo on tap at Highlands Today Center

SEBRING - Highlands Today and GB's Ladies and Men's Formal Wear will host the 2013 Bridal Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Highlands Today Center, 781 Magnolia Ave.

There will be fashion shows for men and women, hair demos, makeup demos, a live DJ, travel, fitness, catering, flower and photography vendors, cake decorators and door prizes.

Advances tickets are $5 and are available at GB's Ladies and Men's Formal Wear, 207 Circle Park Drive, or by calling 386-5836.

Tickets will be $8 at the door.

SEBRING - The downtown community garage sale and farmer's market will be held 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday on the Circle.

Car wash to benefit breast cancer fight

SEBRING - Highlands Youth Football and Cheer will hold a "Pink" Car Wash from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Advance Auto Parts on the corner of U.S. 27 and the Sebring Parkway.

Proceeds will benefit breast cancer awareness, and a donation will be made to Jade Jackson.

Sebring library plans magical creatures

SEBRING - The Sebring Public Library will present a "Magical Creatures of the Underground Party" at 1 p.m. Saturday. Celebrate mythical creatures of the underground with a costume party, face painting, scavenger hunt, cake, movie and more.

Dinner to benefit Christian academy

AVON PARK -A benefit spaghetti dinner will be held 4-7 p.m. Saturday at the Community Bible Church, 1400 C.R. 17A N. Tickets are $6 in advance, $7 at the door, and $4 for kids 12 and under.

Proceeds will go to the reopening of Community Christian Academy.

Caladium Kick-off Dance scheduled

LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid Ballroom Dancers will usher in the Caladium Festival with a Caladium Kick-off Dance with the music of Uptown Country 6:30-9 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Placid Elks Lodge

There will be a snack bar provided by the Ladies of the Elks starting at 6 p.m.

Singles are welcome.

Admission is $5 for members and $7 nonmembers.
