No injuries in Monday school bus accident

No one was injured when a school bus struck a car at 5:14 p.m. Monday at U.S. 27 and Marble Avenue.

Highway Patrol Trooper Larry McClellan Jr. reported a 1995 Buick Century driven by Clemons H. Herbort, 84, of Frostproof, was northbound on U.S. 27 and attempted a left turn. The southbound 2007 ICRP school bus driven by Raymond Ramos, 73, of Lake Placid, struck the car.

There were seven students on the bus. Alcohol was not a factor, McClellan reported.
