Meals on Wheels plans Fourth of July barbecue

Published:

— Looking for something fun to do while waiting for the 9 p.m. fireworks display in Sebring?

Sebring Meals On Wheels will sponsor a barbecue 7-9 p.m. at the fellowship hall of St. Agnes Episcopal Church on Lake Jackson, directly across the lake from the fireworks launch site.

The hall has glass panel walls so visitors can view the fireworks from the air conditioned room.

Those who like a more natural setting can bring their lawn chairs or beach blankets to view the fireworks from the shores of Lake Jackson.

The beach area used for sunrise Easter services will be roped off and reserved for fundraiser participants.

The barbecue is $20 per person, which includes hamburgers, hotdogs and all the fixings, potato salad, slaw, baked beans, dessert and beverages.

Sebring Meals On Wheels is a nonprofit corporation.

All proceeds help cover the expenses of providing meals to the homebound residents of Sebring.

Tickets are available through The Palms of Sebring or Sebring Meals On Wheels.

For information, call 402-1818.
