Man accused of stealing jewelry

— A Sebring man described as a frequent customer by employees of a jewelry store probably won’t be doing business there anytime soon.

The man was arrested after store employees accused him of stealing jewelry, according to a report released Tuesday.

Kyle Andrew Davis, 23, 2111 Covington Road, Sebring, was arrested by the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office and charged with third-degree grand theft.

The arrest came after an employee of the store, Elegant Jewelers, told authorities that nine yellow gold charms pendants were stolen, the arrest report said.

The employee told authorities that store surveillance showed that a man taking the jewelry from a display case, the report said, The employee identified the man as Davis, saying he was a frequent customer.
