SEBRING —After stores closed at a strip center, a man apparently was using the property for his own business, according to an arrest report released Tuesday.
Demetrio Raymond Morales, 30, 601 River Drive, Sebring, was arrested May 11 and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, deliver or manufacture, possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana and possession of drug equipment.
His arrest came after a deputy noticed a car in the parking lot at a time when none of the businesses were open at 825 N. Ridgewood Drive, Sebring.
A deputy approached the car, smelled raw marijuana and asked the driver to exit the vehicle, the report said.
Inside the vehicle, the deputy found two bags containing a green leafy substance, a metal grinder containing a green leafy substance, a hand-rolled cigar containing a green leafy substance, 100 empty bags, a metal container containing a clear colored substance and a digital scale with a white colored substance, the report said.
Both the clear colored substance and the white colored substance tested positive for methamphetamine, the report said.
