Church holding musical drama

SEBRING- Maranatha Baptist Church's choir and drama team will present the musical drama "One Bethlehem Night" at 7 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Sunday.

Written by Jeff Atwood and John Lemonis, this musical drama provides a glimpse of what might have happened on the night Jesus was born.

All of the characters, except Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds, are fictional.

"Real people were present that night and were touched in some way by Mary and Joseph as they came to the inn. Though some of the characters and happenings are imagined, the main event - the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior - is the one true, immutable event that forever changed their lives," states a news release.

People playing main roles are David Waite, Gary Hanson, Cathy Witham and Leon Moody. Accompanists are Rachel Waite at the piano and Ann Truax on the organ. The musical is directed by Jan Burgess.

Maranatha Baptist Church is located in Maranatha Village, off Arbuckle Creek Road, 2 miles east of SR-17N in Sebring.
