Published:

— The Lake Placid Police Department will stay open an hour later on Wednesdays for fingerprinting requests from people who cannot make it during regular office hours.

The police department, 8 N. Oak Ave., is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The police department also will consider setting up an appointments for those who want to be fingerprinted but cannot make it on Wednesdays, as long as the office staff is available, Police Chief James Fansler said.

“We ask that if it is necessary to be fingerprinted at a time other than Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or Wednesdays until 6 p.m., that you call at least 48 hours in advance to give staff an opportunity to make arrangements,” Fansler said in an email.
