LAKE PLACID -

A 33-year-old Lake Placid man was killed at 11:20 p.m. Sunday after his Jeep Cherokee rammed into an empty trailer parked on the side of a road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Brandon W. Christian was going northbound on Henscratch Road, passing the intersection of Dawg House Road, the FHP report states, when, for some unknown reason, he ended up on the southbound lane and drove onto the west shoulder, into the parked trailer, the FHP adds.

The Jeep's left front struck the trailer's right rear, the report adds.

Christian was not wearing a seatbelt, and the blood alcohol content report is pending, the report adds.
