Kids have plenty of Easter egg hunts

Community-wide festivities set at Placid Lakes

LAKE PLACID - First Baptist Church of Placid Lakes, 16 Cleveland Ave. N.E., will host a community-wide Easter egg hunt 2-4 p.m. April 12.

There will be lots of prizes and candy.

Everyone is invited to come meet the Easter bunny and Cookie from Sweet Frog.

Family Easter celebration

SEBRING - A family Easter celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to noon April 19 at St. John United Methodist Church, 3214 Grand Prix Drive.

Activities include egg hunt, crafts, face painting, cake walk, cookie decorating, popcorn, snow cones and the telling of the Easter story.

Giant egg hunt set

LAKE PLACID - Lake Placid Temple Church of God, 51 Lake June Road, will host a giant egg hunt with 10,000 eggs, bounce houses, games and grilled hamburger and hot dog lunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 19 for all area children.

There is no charge.

Fire department egg hunt

SEBRING - The DeSoto City Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual Easter egg hunt with fun and games at 9 a.m., followed by the egg hunt at 10 a.m. April 19.

The Easter bunny will arrive on the fire truck to visit with children.

A photographer will be on site for Easter photos.

The fire department's Station 19 is located at 6800 W. George Blvd.

Hallelujah egg hunt

SEBRING - The Hallelujah egg hunt will be held at 11 a.m. April 20 at Sebring Church, 4514 Hammock Road.

There will be three age groups: 0-5 years, kindergarten through second grades, and third through fifth grades.
