Highlands Hammock seeks volunteers

— Highlands Hammock State Park is seeking volunteers for the following:

Custodian for the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum. Duties include cleaning restrooms, vacuuming carpet and hosting visitors.

Volunteer experienced with zero-turn mowers to assist with mowing.

Sebring residents to open and close Seven Lakes.

Lake Placid residents to open and close Lake June-in-Winter Scrub State Park. Opportunities to assist with trail and facility maintenance are also available.

A handyman to maintain and repair rental bicycles.

Seven Lakes water quality monitor with lightweight kayak or portable boat.

Volunteers/birders to assist with Jay Watch, Florida scrub-jay monitoring, in the mornings the week of July 7-12 at Highlands Hammock, Seven Lakes and Lake June-in-Winter Scrub State Park.
