A Sebring woman was accused of a scheme that apparently resulted in others receiving free merchandise from her employer, according to a warrant affidavit released Friday.

Wilma Gene Chisholm, 59, 141 EA Smith, Lake Placid, was arrested Sept. 13 by the Sebring Police Department and charged with third-degree grand theft.

Wal-Mart, the employer, accused Chisholm in some cases of not scanning all of the merchandise purchased by a customer, the report said.

The report said that more than one defendant was involved in the scheme.
