Drivers in Monday evening T-bone accident escape with minor injuries, FHP says

SEBRING -Two drivers escaped with minor injuries after a Monday evening accident on U.S. 27 when a Kia T-boned a Cadillac trying to make a left turn onto Thunderbird Road, sending both vehicles spinning and traveling several feet, authorities said.

Rebecca Lynn Bronstein, 20, Sebring, was in the northbound turning lane on U.S. 27, trying to turn left onto Thunderbird Road, states a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Aaaron Thomas Ramsey, 20, Wauchula, was going south on U.S. 27 and collided with Bronstein's Cadillac, the FHP said.

The Cadillac spun counterclockwise and traveled 30 feet before coming to a rest on the outside southbound lane, facing south. The Kia rotated clockwise and slid about 20 feet before stopping in the inside southbound lane, facing north, the FHP added.

Bronstein was taken to Florida Hospital Heartland. They were both wearing seat belts, the report states. The accident happened at 6:50 p.m.
