Highlands County sheriff’s deputy Mike Brod, who serves as a school resource deputy, was recently presented his retirement credentials from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Brod had been assigned as a DEA Task Force member from the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office for many years.
He requested to return to working with the youth and asked to be considered for the school resource position.
“Deputy Brod served the task force well and was presented with his DEA credentials as a reminder of his dedicated work,” states a news release.
Representing the St. Lucie Florida field office, Resident Agent in Charge Sheldon Burkett traveled to Sebring recently to present Brod his retirement credentials.
