Registered sex offender fails to register, authorities say

SEBRING -A 48-year-old registered sex offender is back into jail with no bail set after failing to register with authorities, a Highlands County Sheriff's Office report states.

Will Kevin Musselwhite, 823 Memorial Drive, Sebring, was convicted July 6, 2009 of lewd lascivious molestation of a minor, authorities said, and was required to register two times a year, in March and September.

Musselwhite was reportedly released from prison in June 2012 and is currently on probation until June 2024, the arrest report states.

He has registered three times with authorities, the last time in September, and is aware of the requirement but reportedly did not register this March, the report adds.

20-year-old charged with sexually assaulting shelter resident

SEBRING- A 20-year-old Sebring man is charged with sexually assaulting a minor, who is a resident of Hanson House on Sparta Road, in a Sebring motel, according to a Highlands County Sheriff's Office arrest report.

Xavier Davante Richbow, 20, of 918 Martin Luther King Drive, Sebring, is charged with interfering with custody of a minor and sexually assaulting a victim over 12 years of age and remained in Highlands County Jail Wednesday with bail set at $145,000, authorities said.

According to the report, the shelter reported the victim missing for a day in February, when she allegedly spent the night with Richbow.

In March, the victim reportedly met with authorities, when she told them she did not want to have sex with Richbow and told him so, but was given pills that she was told would make her less "high" from smoking marijuana but only debilitated her, the report adds.
