Woman accused of burglary

SEBRING - A suspect in a burglary didn't wait very long to sell stolen items to a pawnshop, according to a report released Thursday.

Kristi Lane Hunter, 27, 1238 Melody Lane, Sebring, was arrested by the Highlands County Sheriff's Office and charged with giving false information to a pawnshop owner, burglary, dealing in stolen property and third-degree grand theft.

The arrest came after the victim reported that while he was away from his residence, someone broke into it and stole about $3,000 worth of property, including a guitar, the report said.

Within 30 minutes of the burglary, Hunter, who was a neighbor of the victim at that time, pawned the guitar, the report said.
