Two men accused of shoplifting televisions

SEBRING - In what may be a father-son crime, two men were accused of stealing televisions from Wal-Mart, according to reports released Wednesday.

Jonathan Oscar Chapman, 21, of 1730 Holly Hurst, Avon Park, and William W. Chapman, 59, P.O. Box 98, Lorida, were both arrested by the Sebring Police Department and charged with third-degree grand theft.

The two men were seen placing two televisions into a shopping cart and then exiting without paying for the televisions.

A witness said the older Chapman told the younger Chapman to run when he tried to apprehend them, the report said.

The report did not specify the relationship between the Chapmans.
