County students get free one-day admission to Florida State Fair

Published:

SEBRING - Highlands County school students will receive free tickets through their schools to attend the Florida State Fair in Tampa on Feb. 16

The fair has offered free tickets to public school students in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.

When this year's fair kicks off Feb. 6-17 in Tampa, students from seven surrounding counties will also be able to enjoy "entertainment and top-notch fun at no cost," a fair news release states.

Tickets for student days are distributed through each individual school district. One ticket goes to one child, which may only be used on the specific county day.

Private or religious schools may also participate by contacting the state fair administration office at 813-627-4360.

Student days coincide with armband days, which offer unlimited rides for $30 at the gate or $25 in advance, the news release adds.
