There will be a water interruption between Wednesday and Thursday, starting at 10 p.m. and ending at around 4 a.m. due to construction.

The affected area is from Lake Clay Drive South, east of U.S. 27 South to WW Lumber at 1001 U.S. 27 S., including the Terraces on the east side of U.S. 27.

A precautionary boil water notice will be in effect for 48 hours after the water is estimated to be restored, at 4 a.m. on Thursday.

This is required by the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation.

Regular water use is at 4 a.m. Saturday.

This will give two consecutive days of bacteriological samples as required by the FDEP regulation. A rescind notice will be issued after 48 hours as long as the samples pass the testing.

As a precaution, the Town of Lake Placid Utilities Department suggests that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute or longer is sufficient. As an alternate, bottled water may be used.

For questions, call the Lake Placid Utilities Department at 699-3747.
