Authorities look for missing 18-year-old woman

LAKE PLACID - Highlands County Sheriff's deputies were looking Wednesday morning for a missing 18-year-old woman, according to a press release from the Highlands County Sheriff's Office.

Debra Angelica Vidal, 18, left her home in the Leisure Lakes area at about 2 a.m. Wednesday morning and had not returned several hours later, the press release said.

She was driving a 2006 Mitsubishi Gallant, cream in color, bearing Florida tag 851 PBD. Debra is described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet tall, approximately 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes and she wears glasses. She was last seen wearing pajamas and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Vidal is asked to contact the Highlands County Sheriff's Office Central Dispatch at (863) 402-7200, or call 911.
