SEBRING — Deputies have identified the woman found in a field Wednesday night as Jessica Dawn Norman, 33, of 1226 Farm Road.

“Detectives would appreciate input from the public,” said Highlands County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Nell Hays.

The 911 center received a call at 7:50 p.m. April 30, Hays said. A dead woman had been found in a pasture behind her home at 1226 Farm Road, a DeSoto City address about a half-mile south of U.S. 98 and a mile east of US 27.

“Jessica had not been seen by her family in a couple of days,” Hays said. “However, there was no report to law enforcement.”

Investigators are not releasing other details of the investigation.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact detective Bob Neal or the Criminal Investigations Unit 863-402-7251 or 402-7250.
