The Bob Evans restaurant in Sebring was robbed Saturday night, and an undetermined amount of money was taken and a manager was injured by one of suspects, according to the Highlands County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Nell Hays would not provide the number of suspects involved, but said there was more than one, with at least one armed with a handgun.
The robbery occurred at closing time, around 10 p.m., she said.
The manager was struck, possibly in the head, with some object, Hays said. The victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical services and refused to be transported to a hospital.
"It's still under investigation; we don't have anybody in custody to my knowledge," she said Monday afternoon.
The sheriff's office is conducting the investigation.
