AARP seeks tax aid volunteers

Published:

SEBRING - The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, the nation's largest free, volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service, is seeking volunteers across Highlands County to help taxpayers who are seeking assistance preparing and filing their tax returns.

Volunteers assist taxpayers at three Highlands County sites in Sebring, Avon Park and Lake Placid where nearly 4,000 tax returns were filed last year.

Volunteers participate in several ways such as greeting tax payers, data organization, administrative duties, maintaining computers, as well as in the preparation of the individual tax returns.
