SEBRING - Cody Gribble has a one-shot lead heading into today's final round of the weather-delayed NEC Series PGA Tour Latinoamerica Qualifying Tournament at Sun 'n Lake Golf Club.
Gribble was 4-under through nine holes, while Peter Campbell was 3-under through six holes before Friday's play was suspended because of darkness.
Gribble, an American, has been very consistent with rounds of 71-71-72 and carded an impressive 2-under 34 on his front nine on Friday in spite of the cold and wind over the demanding Deer Run course.
Campbell, from Nova Scotia, had rounds of 72-68-72 and was 1-over through six holes on Friday.
Robert Rohanna and Adam Long completed nine holes and were tied at 2-under.
Tom Berry, Stephen Yeager, Stephen Hale and Rick Cochran III finished nine holes and were 1-under.
Stephen Narramore, Max Scodro, Bradley Hopfinger, Cody Paladino, Michael Schachner and Jacob Burger were even par and were still within striking distance of the leaders with plenty of golf left.
Play will begin at 7:30 this morning to find out which of the 130 competitors managed to earn their cards for the 2014 season.
The top 20 players will earn full exempt status, while the next 25 earn conditional status on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica circuit.
Local competitors included Ryan Chandler who finished at 10-over 298 and Rocky Khara who came in at 11-over 299.
