Man arrested on drug charges
SEBRING -A Lake Placid man was arrested June 17 after authorities executed a search warrant, although he wasn't the target, according to a Sebring Police Department report.
Milo Edward Williams, 29, 1163 Lake Hill Drive, was arrested by the Sebring Police Department and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of 20 grams or less of marijuana.
A report said that authorities were looking for another individual when they were executing the search warrant and found the drugs.
Woman arrested on theft charge
AVON PARK - Authorities say a Sebring woman was like any other shopper at Wal-Mart, except that she did not make a stop at a check-out line, authorities state.
Erin Pisklo Bass, 32, 725 Triumph Drive, Sebring, was arrested June 19 by the Highlands County Sheriff's Office and charged with third-degree grand theft.
Authorities accused her of attempting to leave the Wal-Mart with $395 of merchandise without attempting to pay for it.
