NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — The New Jersey Devils have returned goaltender Martin Brodeur's son to his junior hockey team in reducing their training camp roster.
Devils general manager and president Lou Lamoriello said that Anthony Brodeur, a goaltender like his father, was returned to Gatineau (QMJHL). Also sent back to junior hockey were forwards Myles Bell (Kelowna, WHL), Graham Black (Swift Current, WHL), Remy Giftopoulos (Windsor, OHL), Ben Johnson (Windsor, OHL), and Ryan Kujawinski (Kingston, OHL).
The Devils sent 15 players to Albany of the AHL. Assigned to Albany were goaltender Maxime Clermont; defensemen Seth Helgeson, Raman Hrabarenka, Dan Kelly, Corbin McPherson, and Reece Scarlett; and forwards Reid Boucher, Riley Boychuk, Mike Hoeffel, Chris McKelvie, Harri Pesonen, Ben Thomson, Joe Whitney, David Wohlberg, and Darcy Zajac.
